The said idea helps the members of the nation give fullest play to the spirit of independence and the might of unity and thus encourages them to bitterly hate foreign forces infringing upon the dignity and interests of the Korean nation and turn out in the dynamic struggle for independent national reunification against flunkeyism and dependence upon foreign forces.

The last nearly decade since the said idea was advanced witnessed the consciousness of national independence growing stronger among Koreans at home and abroad and the desire for independent reunification getting more ardent despite the manifold ordeals and hardships caused by the anti-reunification acts and confrontation moves of the reactionaries inside and outside south Korea. These facts clearly prove that the above-said idea serves as a true banner of patriotism and national reunification and the cause of reunification which the Koreans strive hard to accomplish in the spirit of "By our nation itself" is entirely just.
