Kim Jong Il Praised in Democratic Congo

Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- Events took place in Democratic Congo on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army. A lecture was held by the Genuine Lumumbist Patriotic Party of Democratic Congo and a seminar on Kim Jong Il's work "Songun Revolutionary Line Is a Great Revolutionary Line of Our Era and an Ever-Victorious Banner for Our Revolution" by the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of University of Kinshasa on Nov. 14 and 16.

Otete Gaston Mboyo, chairman of the National Committee of the party, in the lecture highly praised Kim Jong Il as the brilliant strategist no one in the world can match.

Saying that the world progressives are greatly encouraged by the Korean people, he stressed that victory and glory are always in store for them carrying on the revolution under the leadership of the great brilliant commander.

Vele Mukelenge, chairman of the group, said at the seminar that the U.S. never dares to provoke the DPRK, small in the size of territory and number of population, because the latter has strong military deterrent.

We pay the highest tribute to Kim Jong Il who is showing the bright road ahead of the progressive humankind and glorifying socialist Korea with the might of Songun, he said.
