The statement recalled that when the patrol boat of the Navy of the Korean People's Army was sailing back after confirming an unidentified object that intruded into the territorial waters of the DPRK on Nov. 10, a group of warships of the south Korean forces chased it and perpetrated such a grave provocation as firing at it.

The south Korean forces' ceaseless maneuvers for a war of aggression against the DPRK indicate that the south Korean military authorities remain unchanged in their wild ambition to stifle the DPRK by force, it held, and continued:

The recent armed provocation in the waters of the West Sea was not an accidental case but a deliberate provocation of the south Korean military authorities to escalate the tension on the Korean Peninsula. The warmongers fond of playing with fire will have to pay dearly for their provocation.

The statement demanded that the south Korean military authorities make a prompt apology to the DPRK for their reckless military provocation and immediately stop it.
