Present at the talks from the DPRK side were Deputy to the SPA Hong So Hon, chairman of the DPRK-Russia Friendship Parliamentary Group, Kim Song Hui, deputy to the SPA, and officials concerned and from the Russian side Valery E. Sukhinin, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, Aleksei Borodavkin, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ruslan Tatarinov, director of the Secretariat of the Federation Council, Andrei Baklanov, director of the Bureau for International Relations of the Federation Council, Konstantin Pulikovski, advisor to the chairman of the Federation Council, and other suite members.

At the talks both sides exchanged views on the issue of boosting the friendly and cooperative relations between the SPA of the DPRK and the Federation Council of Russia and a series of issues of bilateral interest.

The talks proceeded in a friendly atmosphere.
