New records were established in various events of the championships.

The world record was broken in the women's individual trap shooting event. And new records of the DPRK were established in eight categories of events including women's 10-meter air pistol individual and team events, women's skeet shooting team event, men's 25-meter rapid fire pistol team event and women's 25-meter sports pistol team event.

The old DPRK records were renewed in more than 20 categories of weightlifting, archery, swimming, track-and-field and cycling events.
