S. Korean Court Sentenced Patriotic Figures to Prison Terms
Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet Court on Nov. 27 sentenced members of the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration to prison terms, according to south Korean CBS.

The court sentenced Kim Sung Gyo, permanent co-representative of the organization, to two years in jail and inflicted other penal servitude upon him, charging that he played a main role in forming the solidarity and drafted and spread the "enemy-benefiting" document supporting the north's assertion. The court brought a non-restraint complaint against him last year. It also inflicted punishment on Kim Yong Ran, former organizational chairperson of the solidarity, Yun Chol Sin, chief editor of the June 15 TV, an institution under the solidarity, and Kim Ja Gyong, its secretary general.

At a trial that day, the puppet court claimed that "the north still remains an anti-state organization though the time is said to have changed", "the solidarity disseminated the north's idea, supporting, praising and encouraging the activities of the anti-state organization" and "it is an enemy-benefiting organization as it has praised and disseminated the Juche idea and the Songun politics of the north which are incompatible with liberal democracy."

Kim Sung Gyo when talking with Thongil News over phone in this regard, said that he can never recognize the label of "enemy- benefiting organization" attached to the solidarity, charging that the authorities have not yet departed from the Cold War perspective.
