Present at the meeting were members of the headquarters and political parties and civic and public organizations and other people of different strata.

Speeches were made by Chairman Ri Kyu Jae, Secretary General Ri Kyong Won and Chairwoman of the Publicity Committee Choe Un A of the headquarters, who were released after being detained on the charge of violation of the "National Security Law".

Noting that they cherished the spirit of the June 15 joint declaration more deeply while suffering persecution in the prison before, the speakers declared their will to sacrifice their lives in the future struggle to defend and implement the inter-Korean declarations.

The movement for national reunification is steadily advancing despite the persistent obstruction by the present "government", they said, calling upon the progressive forces to unite and give strong counterattack to the anti-reunification racket of the authorities.

Solidarity addresses were also made at the meeting.

And congratulatory messages from the north and overseas headquarters of Pomminryon were introduced before a joint resolution of Pomminryon was read out.
