Printed on the top of the sheetlets and sheet are words "Year of the World Red Cross and Red Crescent" or "International Year of Astronomy 2009" in Korean and English.

Contained in a sheetlet are stamps portraying a young Swiss man, Henry Dunant, who initiated humanitarian relief activities in the Solferino battlefield of Italy in June 1859, and showing first-aid treatment and activities for preventing damage from natural disasters.

Seen in others are the galactic system, a total solar eclipse observed in the whole world and a partial eclipse in Pyongyang on the 22nd of last July, astronomical relics and remains in Korea including Chomsongdae (astronomical observatory) and the like.
