Extending thanks to peoples of different countries in Asia for having voiced support and solidarity with the Korean people in their efforts to preserve peace on the Korean Peninsula and achieve its reunification and build a great prosperous and powerful nation, the speaker continued:

The Asian people should be proud of having made a shining history by carving out their destinies by their own efforts and overcome challenges and difficulties facing Asia by dint of unity and solidarity based on independence.

Many countries of Asia have become the biggest victims of regional disputes and world-wide economic crisis due to the arbitrary practices of the "sole superpower" and irresponsible acts on the part of the Western powers though they are rich in human and material resources and have tremendous potentials for development.

The sufferings resulting from the national split caused by foreign forces have lasted for over six decades on the Korean Peninsula and the desire of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state has not yet become a reality while the right of the Iranian people to peaceful nuclear activities is being ignored by the Western powers.

The lawmakers in Asia who represent its peoples' mind-set should naturally unite and cooperate with one another in the struggle to build Asia, independent, peaceful and prosperous, by believing in the strength of their peoples and depending on them.

The Korean people are now turning out as one in the general offensive to fling open the gate to a thriving nation in 2012, the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung.

The DPRK keeps its door of friendship and cooperation open to all countries friendly toward it, guided by the idea of independence, peace and friendship, and always gives priority to cooperation with Asian countries.

The DPRK will thoroughly implement the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration which were agreed upon at the north-south summits and are supported and hailed by the world and surely accomplish the historical cause of national reunification under the banner of "By our nation itself."
