Kim Kum Ok, winner of a gold medal at the 11th Asian Marathon Championship last year, and Kim Kyong Jin placed first respectively in the half marathon race and the men's 60 kg category judo event held on Dec. 13.

Meanwhile Pak Song Il, Ri Chol Ryong, Rim Yun Hui and Pak Ok Song captured silver medals in the men's 90kg and 66kg category judo events and the women's 57kg and 48kg category judo events, Paek Un Hui in the women's 53kg category weightlifting event, Pak Song Chol in the men's half marathon race and Choe Kum Hui and Kim Un Hyang in the women's 10m-platform duet synchronized diving respectively.

Jo Yong Suk, O Jong Ae, Ryang Chun Hwa, Cha Kum Chol, Pang Kum Chol, Kim Jin Ok, Hyon Jong Hui, Won Ok Im and Kim Chol Su each came third in the women's 10m-air pistol shooting event, the women's 58kg and 48kg category weightlifting events, the men's 62kg and 77kg category weightlifting events, the women's 10m-platform diving, the women's 70kg and 63kg category judo events and the men's 73kg category judo event.
