Senior Chinese Official on Sino-DPRK Friendship

Pyongyang, December 19 (KCNA) -- Jia Qinglin, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the Communist Party of China and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, met and had a talk with a delegation of the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Friday.

Noting that the relations of friendship between China and the DPRK are steadily developing under the deep care of the top leaders of the two countries, Jia said:

We are satisfied over the frequent high-ranking visits and strengthened cooperation in economy and trade and cultural exchange between the two countries.

The Chinese party and government attach great importance to the development of the relations with the DPRK.

It is our steadfast stand to steadily develop the friendly relations between the two countries.

We, together with the Korean comrades, will strive for the development of the Sino-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations.

He said that they heartily wish the Korean people greater success in their efforts to open the gate to a great prosperous and powerful nation in 2012 under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
