Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

The military exercises staged by the U.S. warmongers to mount a preemptive attack on the DPRK at the end of the year show that the U.S. has not the slightest intention of making a switchover in its policy toward the DPRK.

The U.S. war-like forces have staged the madcap war racket against the DPRK, ceaselessly reinforcing and deploying their task forces including nuclear carrier in south Korea and its vicinity, with the hostility toward the DPRK.

The consecutive joint exercises staged by the U.S. imperialists with the south Korean army this month revealed their true colors as war maniacs and criminal attempt to realize the design for invasion of the DPRK by force of arms at any cost.

Their military hysteria proves that the U.S. schemes to stifle the DPRK by force, giving priority to the war method. In other words, the U.S. has no will to make a switchover in its hostile policy towards the DPRK but is only seeking a war against it.

The U.S. bellicose forces would be well advised to abandon their reckless war hysteria, clearly understanding who their rival is.
