He said in his statement that by holding Kim Jong Il, invincible and iron-willed commander, in high esteem as its supreme commander the KPA has grown to be invincible anti-imperialist revolutionary armed forces and a staunch defender of the destiny of the nation and the cause of socialism.

He continued:

The heroic struggle of the army and people of the DPRK leading the confrontation with the U.S. gives great encouragement and hope to progressive mankind.

We extend firm solidarity to the Songun cause of the DPRK, expressing the belief that the army and people of the DPRK will achieve shining victory in their drive to build a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.
