Vorontsov, first vice-chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, said in a speech that the DPRK has traversed the road of victory, resolutely foiling all the moves of the U.S. and its followers to stifle the DPRK as it held Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the supreme commander of the KPA.

Veredin, secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, noted that thanks to the Songun politics of Kim Jong Il the DPRK is standing as a fortress of peace and its position is rising in the international arena as the days go by.

Juan Jose Leon Vega, first vice-chairman of the Cuban Committee for Supporting Korea's Reunification, referred to the revolutionary life of Kim Jong Suk, noting that she is the great mother who brought up Kim Jong Il as the future of Korea.

Jasim Udinh Ahmed, advisor to the Institute for the Study of Juche Idea of Bangladesh, and other speakers said that the DPRK's independent politics based on the Juche idea is the politics most firmly protecting and guaranteeing the sovereignty and dignity of the country and nation.

Kim Jong Suk made a great contribution to accomplishing the cause of liberating the country, they added.

A message of greetings to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting held in Russia.
