Dismantlement of Concrete Wall Demanded
Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- The Czech, Moravian, Silesian Trade Unions' Association issued a statement on Dec. 21 on the lapse of 30 years since the concrete wall was built.

Saying that the wall built by the south Korean authorities is a product of confrontation on the Korean Peninsula, the statement went on:

The DPRK has long made efforts to get the wall pulled down and ensure free visits between the north and the south of Korea.

The wall is a product of the moves of the U.S. and the south Korean rulers to keep Korea divided into two parts indefinitely, the statement noted, adding that it is impossible to expect the peaceful reunification of Korea and the cooperation between the north and the south unless it is pulled down.

If the U.S. and the south Korean authorities truly wish for the peace, reconciliation and cooperation on the peninsula, they should remove this huge concrete wall before anything else.

The statement expressed full support to the efforts of the DPRK to achieve the peaceful reunification of the country.
