S. Korean Forces' Moves to Railroad Evil Laws Censured

Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- Various civic and public organizations of south Korea including the All-people Measure Committee for Checking the Project for Destroying Four Large Rivers and Protecting Life-Giving Rivers, the Railway Workers' Union and the Joint Conference of Civic and Public Organizations against the Renewed Troop Dispatch to Afghanistan held a rally in Seoul on Dec. 23 at which they denounced the conservative ruling forces for trying to railroad the unpopular and anti-peace evil laws through the "National Assembly".

The speakers at the rally accused the "government" and the "Grand National Party" of seeking to ram a "draft budget for improvement of four large rivers", a "draft amendment to the law on trade unions" and a "motion calling for renewed troop dispatch to Afghanistan", etc. through the NA despite the unanimous warning of the people.

The present "government's" misrule has reached its height, they deplored, declaring that the people will never pardon the crimes the present conservative rulers committed by causing the Ryongsan tragedy and suppressing trade unions, etc.

The participants urged the puppet authorities to immediately stop the moves to enact evil laws.
