The organization denounced the present authorities for persisting in their moves against the nation and reunification such as threatening the democratization of society and the right of the people to existence, disregarding the will of the people desirous of national reconciliation, unity and co-prosperity.

The independent and peaceful reunification is the desire of all the members of the Korean nation and their task, it said, urging the present "government" to roll back its hostile policy toward the north and opt for improving the south-north relations, though belatedly.

The organization vowed to put on a more popular basis the reunification movement in 2010, the 10th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration.
