The statement said the editorial fully reflects the faith and will of the Korean people to bring about a new revolutionary turn in the socialist economic construction in 2010 under the wise leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The statement expressed belief that the Korean people would bring about a sweeping revolutionary turn in the overall economic sectors including light industry and agriculture this year under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea and thus open the gate to a thriving socialist nation in 2012 without fail.

The statement expressed solidarity with the Korean people in their struggle for achieving the independent and peaceful reunification of the country by their own efforts free from foreign interference, demanding the U.S. imperialists roll back their hostile policy towards the DPRK and withdraw their forces from south Korea at once.
