Pyongyang, January 12 (KCNA) -- The Pioneer Party of Indonesia and the People's Rally for Socialism of Democratic Congo respectively issued statements on Jan. 5 in support of the joint New Year editorial published by newspapers of the party, the army and the youth of the DPRK. The Pioneer Party of Indonesia noted in its statement that the joint editorial underscored the need for all the Korean people to carry on the vigorous drive with redoubled efforts once again and thus bring about a radical turn in improving the people's standard of living. The editorial also called upon all the Koreans to actively promote national reconciliation and cooperation under the slogan "Let the entire nation unite under the banner of north-south joint declarations and achieve national reunification at the earliest date!" this year marking the 10th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration, it said, adding: We extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful nation and achieve national reunification. The People's Rally for Socialism of Democratic Congo in its statement said it is the precious fruition of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's strong independent faith and will, firm pluck and energetic revolutionary activities that last year the Korean people made epoch-making changes on all fronts and highly demonstrated the dignity of Songun Korea under the grim situation in which the imperialists' sanctions and moves to stifle the DPRK reached the extremes. The statement expressed belief that the Korean people would significantly exalt this year, the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea, by bringing about a decisive turn in the development of light industry and agriculture in hearty response to the joint New Year editorial. Riyad Chaloub, chairman of the Guinean National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, and U Than Tun, director of the Union of Myanmar Economic Holdings Limited, released statements in support of the joint New Year editorial. |
