Struggle against Expansion of Drill Ground Vowed in S. Korea

Pyongyang, January 12 (KCNA) -- The Joint Measure Committee of Civic and Public Organizations for Checking the Expansion of Mugon-ri Drill Ground in south Korea called a press conference in Phaju, Kyonggi Province, on Jan. 7 at which it declared its will to conduct the struggle against expansion of Mugon-ri drill ground to the last.

The committee said at the conference that the judicial authorities on the same day staged a trial of inhabitants in Ohyon-ri who struggled against the expansion of the drill ground, but this only proved the justice of their struggle.

Who should be put in the dock is none other than the authorities of the "Defense Ministry" and the police, its stooge, getting hell-bent on illegal plunder of land for expansion of the drill ground, it held.

The organization declared that it would fight it out to check the expansion of Mugon-ri drill ground.
