Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) -- Personages of different countries expressed support for the joint New Year editorial of the DPRK. Jaroslav Kafka, chairman of the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea and chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association, at a seminar on Jan. 7 fully supported the joint New Year editorial that correctly reflected the Korean people's aspiration after building a thriving nation and the stand of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government to reunify the country and contribute to ensuring global peace and stability. Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, in a statement on Jan. 6 called upon the government, political parties, organizations and people of Sweden to extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their efforts to carry out the tasks set forth in the joint editorial. The chairman of the Indonesian Maritime Transport Trade Union said in a statement on Jan. 4 that "Let the entire nation unite under the banner of north-south joint declarations and achieve national reunification at the earliest date!", a slogan set forth in the joint editorial, is the most reasonable and practical slogan for Korea's reunification at present. The statement expressed belief that the reunification of Korea, the cherished desire of the nation, would be certainly realized when all the Korean people vigorously advance along the road of independent reunification under the uplifted banner of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration. |
