According to the latest survey, there are 19 springs in 11 spots including Hwangjin, Taho, Manho and Sari.

Of them eleven are sulfur springs (more than 2 milligrams per liter).

Sulfur spring is potent for skin diseases, nervous system disorders, women's diseases, chronic heavy metal poisoning, digestive and urinary troubles, blood and metabolic diseases, etc.

In the area new villages including Hwangjin village and cozy dwellings have come into being to provide lodging and boarding to people who want to be treated by hot springs.
