Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The preparatory committee set the days from Jan. 10 to Feb. 17 as a celebration period and decided to widely introduce Kim Jong Il's works, his revolutionary activities and the validity and vitality of the Songun politics through media and hold colorful political and cultural events in this period.
