The Brandenburg State Committee of the Communist Party of Germany in its statement on Jan. 12 said that the editorial clarified the will of the Korean people to promote reconciliation and visits and contacts between people from all walks of life, giving primary consideration to the interests common to the Korean nation, for the purpose of positively realizing reconciliation and cooperation among Koreans.

The statement extended full support and encouragement to the Korean people in their efforts to brilliantly adorn 2010 as a year of ushering in a new phase of independent reunification under the banner of independent reunification and the flag of peace against war.

The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea in its statement on Jan. 2 hailed the inter-Korean summit and the publication of the June 15 joint declaration in 2000 as historic events of weighty importance in carrying out national reunification.

The statement wished the Korean people new success in their efforts to achieve the independent reunification of the country and the reconciliation, cooperation and unity of the Korean nation this year, the 10th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration and the 30th anniversary of the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo.
