S. Korean Warmongers' Saber-rattling under Fire
Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- The 26th motorized infantry division of the south Korean puppet army staged field mobile exercises under the pretext of "boosting combat capability" in the area of Kyonggi Province between Jan. 11 and 15.

Minju Joson Wednesday observes in a signed commentary in this regard: These are nothing but deliberate saber-rattling to disturb national reconciliation and unity, the process for warming the inter-Korean relations and screw up the tensions.

If national reconciliation and unity are to be achieved and the inter-Korean ties to be improved it is necessary to put an end to the confrontation and war racket, first of all.

It is self-evident that national reconciliation and unity can hardly be achieved and the inter-Korean ties cannot be improved as long as war exercises are staged to threaten and hurt the other party.

The frantic war exercises of the south Korean warhawks for a war of aggression against the north are intended to realize their sinister scenario to block national reconciliation and unity and torpedo the process for improving the inter-Korean ties and bring the situation to the brink of a war at any cost. It is an unpardonable criminal act going against the desire of fellow countrymen.

It is the unanimous desire of the Koreans to achieve national reconciliation and unity and warm the inter-Korean relations.

It is the consistent stand of the DPRK to improve the inter-Korean ties and pave the way for national reunification on the basis of the historic June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

Good will cannot be shown even for the warmongers keen to do harm to fellow countrymen in contravention of the inter-Korean joint declarations. It is the mettle of the army and people of the DPRK to return fire for fire.

The south Korean authorities would be well advised to behave themselves, cogitating about the consequences to be entailed by their war exercises for invading the north.
