The Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK in the statement noted that the editorial reflects the faith and will of the Korean people to build a thriving socialist nation and reunify the divided country under the leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The successes gained by the Korean people last year proved once again the validity and vitality of the Songun politics, the statement said.

It extended full support and solidarity to the just cause of the Korean people and expressed belief that the tasks set forth in the joint New Year editorial would surely be implemented.

The Group of Youth for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea in Vienna in the statement fully supported the joint editorial and expressed belief that the Korean people would successfully carry out the tasks for this year for building an economic power under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
