Still ringing in our ears is the ardent call for independent reunification made by martyr Kim Ryang Mu, the statement said, adding all the Koreans desirous of independent reunification, peace and prosperity have waged a dynamic struggle regarding the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration as a lifeline of the nation and a great program of the country's reunification.

It is impossible to achieve the independent reunification, peace and prosperity of the nation nor is it possible to realize democratization of the society unless the dictatorial regime is toppled down, the statement stressed. It declared that the south Korean youth and students would take the lead in the struggle to achieve independent reunification through the implementation of the above-said declarations by carrying forward the spirit displayed by the martyr.
