A ceremony of awarding them took place here on Tuesday.

The title of academician was conferred on Ri Jong Uk, a researcher of Kim Il Sung University, the title of candidate academician on Ko Yong Hae, a teacher of the university, and professorship on Sin Yong Hun, vice-rector of Kim Il Sung Higher Party School, Jong Yong Thaek, rector of Rajin University of Marine Transport, Om Yong Il, room chief of the Forestry Branch of the State Academy of Sciences, and others.

Also, doctorate went to Yu Kwang Ryol, a teacher of Kim Po Hyon University, Jong Chol, head of a department of Kim Chaek University of Technology, and others and associate professorship to eight persons.
