1,000-ri Journey Study Group Visit Revolutionary Site

Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- School youth and children from across the country participating in the study tour for tracing the course of the 1,000-ri journey for national liberation visited the Phophyong Revolutionary Site on February 4 on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the 1,000-ri journey for national liberation made by President Kim Il Sung and the 35th anniversary of the study tour to trace its course initiated by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Phophyong is associated with the immortal exploits performed by the President and the great footprints of members of his revolutionary family in Mangyongdae.

They went round the Phophyong Ferry which tells the story about the historical day the President crossed the River Amnok.

They also visited the Monument to the "Song of the River Amnok", the Phophyong Church, the Evening School Run in the House of the man from Hamgyong Province, the Phophyong Noodle House, the Phophyong Police Substation, Apgang Inn and other places. Then they looked round historic relics and materials on display in the Phophyong Revolutionary Museum.
