It was attended by Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of party and administrative organs and working people's organizations in Pyongyang and local areas and officials in the fields of science, education, culture and arts, media and party cadre-training institutions and the preservation of revolutionary and historic relics.

Presented at the seminar were papers profoundly explaining and proving the great leadership provided by Kim Jong Il to glorify last year as one to be specially recorded in the history of building a great prosperous and powerful nation.

The speakers said that he performed immortal exploits by giving free rein to the mental power of all the service personnel and people with his extraordinary political caliber and thereby bringing about a great leap forward and making the waves of the movement for pushing back the frontiers of science sweep the whole country.

The leadership mode based on field guidance which was created by President Kim Il Sung and whose practical example was set by him is now being successfully applied on a new higher stage through Kim Jong Il's forced march of high intensity and serves as a main source of all miracles, they stressed, and went on:

Kim Jong Il has bolstered up the revolutionary army, placing the DPRK on a status of the strongest power which no formidable enemy dares invade, and provided a sure guarantee for the Korean people's advance for a great surge with military strength. And he has placed the servicepersons on the first-line for building a thriving nation and encouraged them to create the "Huichon speed", a new speed of advance racing against the time.

Kim Jong Il is a great master of leadership as he has brought about a great heyday of the Songun revolutionary culture which encourages all the service personnel and people to vigorously wage a general offensive and a peerless statesman who demonstrated the dignity of Songun Korea and its power under the uplifted banner of independence.

They called for deeply grasping the immortal exploits of Kim Jong Il and glorifying them and bringing about a landmark turn in improving the people's standard of living this year marking the 65th founding anniversary of the WPK.
