End to Racket for Confrontation with DPRK Called for
Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- In order to improve the deteriorated inter-Korean relations and bring about a new phase in accomplishing the cause of reunification this year it is necessary to put an end to the anti-DPRK confrontation moves in south Korea at an early date as they are quite contrary to the trend of the times.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday says this in a signed article.

The south Korean conservative group is desperately escalating confrontation with the DPRK, laying a stumbling block in the way of achieving national unity and improving the inter-Korean relations, the article notes, and goes on:

The south Korean authorities set the "active discussion on the nuclear issue in inter-Korean dialogue", an issue utterly indifferent to the inter-Korean relations, as the core of the "policy toward the north" this year, while talking about what they called "the development of the principled south-north relations" in a "business report for 2010."

This assertion, an extension of the watchwords of "no nukes, opening and 3,000 dollars" symbolic of anti-reunification and confrontation policy, was prompted by their sinister intention to prevent the inter-Korean relations from making progress and escalate nuclear racket against the DPRK in conspiracy with foreign forces under the pretext of the nuclear issue.

Their moves to provoke a war of aggression against the DPRK and kick off a racket for confrontation between systems are deliberate and premeditated anti-reunification acts to chill the atmosphere of the improved inter-Korean relations and drive the situation to catastrophe.

The south Korean conservative group worked out such scenario for invading the north as the "study of long-term program for unification" under the pretext of coping with nonsensical "emergency situation." This is a manifestation of their black-hearted intention to deny the dignified system in the DPRK and realize their wild ambition for "unification by absorption."

The south Korean authorities' fascist suppression of reunification movement is an unpardonable criminal act of doing harm to the reconciliation and unity of the nation.

It is impossible for the people from all walks of life to hold free reunification-oriented discussion and activities nor is it possible to make contacts and exchange between fellow countrymen as long as the above-said brutal suppression is allowed in south Korea.

The south Korean conservative authorities hell-bent on the moves to escalate confrontation with the DPRK are a main block lying in the way of improving the inter-Korean relations.
