Bam Dev Gautam, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (United Marxist-Leninist), said that Kim Jong Il is the great leader not only of the Korean people but of the world progressives, adding that he is now energetically leading the Korean people in their struggle to build a thriving socialist nation through his ceaseless field guidance.

V. K. Chopra, chairman of the Indian Intellectuals' Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, noted that Kim Jong Il has embodied the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung, glorifying Korean style socialism centred on the popular masses and giving full play to the might of the DPRK in the international arena with his unique Songun politics.

Davaadorj Begz, chairman of the Mongolian Association for the Study of Juche Idea-Songun, highly praised the Songun leadership feats of Kim Jong Il. He vowed to make a deep-going study of the Juche idea, the Songun idea and contribute to boosting the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.

Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the events in India and Mongolia.
