The Chongsan-ri spirit and method based on the great Juche idea and the revolutionary mass line are the Juche method of work that helps the popular masses maintain the stand as the masters of the revolution and construction and fulfill their responsibility and role as the masters. They are also the scientific and revolutionary idea and method for mass leadership which comprehended and systematized in an integrated way the Workers' Party of Korea's idea and theory on mass leadership.

Present at the meeting were senior party, army and state officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of party and armed forces organs, working people's organizations, ministries, national institutions and industrial establishments and farms and working people in the city of Pyongyang, exemplary officials and farmers in the city of Nampho and Chongsan-ri, Kangso District.

A report was made there by Choe Thae Bok, alternate member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea.

Recalling that Kim Il Sung created the Chongsan-ri spirit and Chongsan-ri method during his field guidance to Chongsan-ri and Kangso County in February Juche 49 (1960), the reporter described this as a historic event that provided a landmark for epochal turn in the drive of the WPK and the Korean people to build socialism.

The President applied the above-said spirit and method in the economic management to establish the unique system of Korean style for guiding and managing the economy and thus brought about a radical improvement in socialist construction, the reporter noted, and went on to say:

General Secretary Kim Jong Il formulated this mass leadership method as the work method of the President's style and energetically led the drive to embody it in the whole party, stressing that the WPK should thoroughly establish the President's method of work as it serves to materialize his revolutionary ideas.

He has led the overall work of the party, the army and the state in the thick of reality, making an endless forced march of on-site guidance to distant military posts and construction sites in great surge without rest to provide prosperity of the country and people's happiness. This peculiar mode of revolution is the culmination of the President's method of work and the great Juche-based method of revolutionary leadership that makes it possible to achieve a brilliant victory in the revolution and construction.

We will surely build a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation in this land under the ever-victorious Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il and accomplish the cause of Juche, and thus give steady continuity to the sacred revolutionary history of the President along with the prospering country.
