He said in the statement that the gigantic goal set by socialist Korea to open the gate to a thriving nation in 2012 is by no means fanciful, adding that the DPRK today is energetically pushing forward socialist construction in line with its unerring political strategy.

The Workers' Party of Korea led by Kim Jong Il has successfully embodied the Juche idea, the Songun politics, in all fields, the statement noted, expressing the conviction that the goal set by the Korean people would be attained without fail in 2012, the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung.

Meanwhile, former Deputy Prime Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari, member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (United Marxist-Leninist), in a statement issued on Feb. 3 called upon the close friends of the Korean people all over the world to extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their efforts to open the gate to a thriving nation in 2012, the centenary of birth of the President, and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea.
