At the rally the speakers denounced the U.S. for working hard these days to plug south Korea into its missile defence system, while raising a hue and cry over the "threat from the north".

They accused the U.S. of busying itself to realize the "strategic flexibility" of its forces in south Korea, posing a threat to peace on the Korean Peninsula.

They urged the U.S. to stop working to put peace at peril and respond to the proposed talks for replacing the Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty as early as possible.
