Rodong Sinmun observes this in a signed commentary on Tuesday.

It goes on:

It is an invariable strategic scheme of the U.S. to have firmer grip on south Korea and use it as a springboard from which to unleash the second Korean war and, furthermore, materialize its wild ambition for military domination over Asia.

The U.S. farce for the transfer of the right is just part of sinister military operation scenario to serve this strategic purpose. It is also a measure taken to perfect the coordination of military actions between the U.S. and the south Korean forces.

The U.S. seeks to turn its forces in south Korea into a task force capable of conducting military actions for aggression in vaster areas, not just the regional forces tasked with carrying out limited military duty in limited areas, and use the south Koran army as a shock brigade.

Herein lies the dangerous nature of the "transfer of the right to command wartime operations".

The U.S. tries to give impression that it is set to turn over the right to south Korea and it takes its hands off the issue. But it is a cunning trick to cover the nature of the military presence of its forces in south Korea and its policy to invade the DPRK and mislead the world opinion.

This is clearly proved by the remarks made by the commander that the coordinated operation of the U.S. and the south Korean forces would remain unchanged even after the transfer of the right and that it is wrong to think that the south Korean army can take full responsibility for "defense" of south Korea.

He even blustered that the U.S. would offer more information including the "nuclear deterrent" in the future, on the premise of its use of nukes in "emergency" on the Korean Peninsula.

The U.S. move to ignite a new war has pushed the situation on the peninsula to tension, not to peace.

If the U.S. keeps making frantic preparations for a new war while intensifying the military control over south Korea, pursuant to its national policy to stifle the DPRK as now, the DPRK-U.S. relations will never see a solution and the situation will be pushed to the worst phase.

The U.S. is sadly mistaken if it thinks it can solve problem by dint of strong arm policy and strength, shunning conclusion of peace treaty.

The U.S. would be well advised to face up to the reality and drop its foolish dream to put the DPRK and the rest of Asia under its control keeping hold on south Korea.
