Jaroslav Kafka, chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association who doubles as chairman of the Czech Group for the Study and Materialization of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee decided to hold various political and cultural events including lecture and film show on the occasion of the February holiday to highly laud the undying feats of Kim Jong Il and widely introduce the successes made by the people of the DPRK in their efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful nation.

A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the ceremony.
