Many countries and regions of the world are now in the grip of an economic crisis but the DPRK is striving to attain the goal of building an economic power in the spirit of self-reliance, the bulletin noted, and went on:

Self-reliance is one of the revolutionary modes peculiar to the Korean people. The Korean people are the ones who make redoubled efforts as the outside pressure upon them increases and give fuller play to the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude as conditions become harder.

The revolutionary spirit of self-reliance is being given fuller play than ever before in the DPRK at a time when all the Korean people are giving free rein to the inexhaustible mental power to unfailingly fling open the gate to a thriving nation till 2012, the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung, the founder of socialist Korea, concluded the bulletin.
