Japan's Liquidation of Past Crimes Urged
Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity of Saenal Huimang (desire for a new day) and the East Asian History Citizens Network grouping 37 organizations related to history in south Korea called a joint press conference in Seoul on Feb. 7 to protest against the south Korean trip of the king of Japs.

At the press conference speakers accused the king of Japs of shamelessly trying to tour south Korea, far from repenting of the crimes committed by Japan in the past and apologizing for them.

Noting that the south Korean authorities' intention to allow the trip before Japan's proper settlement of its past crimes is little short of shutting their eyes to the Japanese imperialists' colonial domination and plunder, they demanded Japan make an apology and reparation for its past crimes, ban the use of the distorted history textbooks, stop claiming "dominium over Tok Islets" and halt the suppression of Koreans in Japan and discrimination against them, etc.

They held that the humiliating south Korea-Japan "agreement" signed in 1965 should be renegotiated without fail.
