Jo Il Min referred to the reverence for General Secretary Kim Jong Il growing stronger in different parts of south Korea in the run-up to his birthday.

He informed the KFA chairman of the vigorous movement for independent reunification waged by south Korean people under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration.

Alejandro Cao de Benos said that he would fully support and encourage the struggle of the AINDF and the south Korean people for independence against the U.S. and the country's reunification in the future, too.

Then, the guests watched a video showing the personality of Kim Jong Il as a great man.

A statement in the name of the KFA was issued on the same day.

It bitterly denounced the south Korean authorities' frantic racket for confrontation with the DPRK as treacherous, anti-peace and anti-reunification act.

The south Korean authorities should immediately stop reckless DPRK-targeted war exercises and the racket for confrontation with fellow countrymen if they truly want the improved inter-Korean relations and detente, the statement urged.
