Seen there was a floral basket from Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Laid before the statue were baskets of flowers in the name of party, armed forces and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries, national institutions and KPA units and institutions at all levels, industrial establishments, farms, schools and others in the city of Pyongyang.

The participants made deep bows to the statue in humble reverence for the President.
