Performance Given by "2. 16 Art Prize" Participants

Pyongyang, February 15 (KCNA) -- A performance was given by successful participants in the 19th individual contest for "February 16 Art Prize" at the Yun I Sang Concert Hall on Monday in celebration of February 16, the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il. Put on the stage were a soprano "Song Devoted to Comrade Kim Jong Il", a small haegum recital of an immortal famous masterpiece "Where Are You, Dear General", piano solo "Song of Ploughing", a solo in contralto "Fog Creeps up Jong Il Peak", female folk song solo "Yangsando" and other colorful numbers. The performers successfully represented the greatness of Kim Jong Il who has performed the undying feats to remain long recorded in the history by leading the Korean revolution to victory for the last several decades after being born as a son of the legendary guerillas and the boundless loyalty of all the service personnel and people of the DPRK who follow him with boundless reverence, entrusting their destiny and future to him. Also put on the stage were middle-sized haegum solo of an immortal famous masterpiece "Song of Sea of Blood", kayagum solo "Song of the Sea", high-pitched tone fife solo "Spring Has Come" and other numbers. Among the audience were working people in the city and school youth and children. |
