Displayed in the venues were works of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, books and photos on their Songun leadership exploits and fine art and handicraft pieces associated with wisdom and talents of the Korean people.

Speeches were made at their opening ceremonies.

The acting mayor of Artyom City and other figures of Russia expressed their best regards to Kim Jong Il on his birthday and praised the Korean people for having achieved marvelous successes in building a thriving nation under his leadership.

The deputy governor of Istanbul Province of Turkey said that the exhibition would provide the Turkish people with a good opportunity to get better understanding of the DPRK, and hoped that the relations between the two countries would develop in not only culture but also the economy and all other fields.

The vice-chairman of the Turkey-Korea Friendship Association referred to the significance of the exhibition and expressed belief that the Korean people would achieve greater successes in building a thriving socialist nation, rallied close around Kim Jong Il.
