Pyongyang, February 17 (KCNA) -- The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea issued bulletin captioned "Pluck of Leader Kim Jong Il" on Feb. 2 on the occasion of his birthday. The bulletin in an article said that the imperialists' high-handed and arbitrary practices do not work on the DPRK and it is the steadfast attitude and stand of the DPRK to counter rifle firing with firing of artillery pieces and react to their hard-line policy with the toughest stand. The U.S. and its followers kicked off a frantic anti-DPRK campaign under the pretexts of the DPRK's launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong-2 and the second underground nuclear test last year but the DPRK took a resolute stand to cope with the campaign, the bulletin noted, and continued: Kim Jong Il watched splendid "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" displayed in the sky above Pyongyang and provided field guidance to various parts of the country including newly built power stations and a number of factories, enterprises and co-op farms. |
