Members of the art squad put on the stage female trio "The Great Bear Is the Star Representing Our Longing," dialogic poem "Let Us Meet Again in Huichon", serial songs "The County I Am Defending", "Our Country Is Witnessing Changes" and "Push Back the Frontiers of Science," and poem and chorus "We Will Defend the Headquarters of the Revolution with Our Lives" and other colorful numbers of diverse genres.

The performers successfully represented the invincible might of the KPA which has grown to be a matchless army under his care and the firm faith and will of the servicepersons to devotedly defend the headquarters of the revolution and accomplish with arms the revolutionary cause of Juche which was started in the forest of Mt. Paektu.

They clearly proved the validity and vitality of the WPK's policy of conducting anti-Japanese guerrilla style performing activities by fully demonstrating the same enthusiasm and spirit as displayed in conducting militant frontline information service and agitation by trenches, in drill grounds and construction sites to arouse service personnel to feats. They, at the same time, strikingly demonstrated the might of the army artistes creditably discharging their sacred mission as buglers in the era of Songun by instilling the ardent love for the Party and the leader, the country and the people into the servicepersons.

At the end of the performance Kim Jong Il waved back to the enthusiastically cheering performers and audience and congratulated the artistes on their successful presentation.

He extended high appreciation and thanks to the members of the art squad for their success in the performance, expressing great satisfaction with the fact that they staged a unique and splendid performance with art pieces truthfully representing the noble ideological and moral world of the servicepersons.

Saying that performing activities with strong influence are of great importance in the ideological education of the service personnel, he set forth important tasks to be fulfilled to intensify the performing activities.

Among the audience were KPA Vice Marshal Kim Yong Chun, vice-chairman of the NDC of the DPRK and minister of the People's Armed Forces, KPA General Kim Jong Gak, member of the NDC of the DPRK and first vice-director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, KPA General Ri Yong Ho, chief of the General Staff of the KPA, and other commanding officers of the army and Secretaries of the C.C., the WPK Choe Thae Bok and Kim Ki Nam and Department Directors of the C.C., the WPK Kim Kyong Hui, Jang Song Thaek, Kim Yong Il and Kim Yang Gon and other leading officials of the C.C., the WPK.
