This work, published on Sep. 5 Juche 97 (2008), says that the 60-year-long history of the DPRK is a history of great struggle and victory, gigantic creation and changes in which the Korean people protected the independence and honor of the country and built a rich, powerful and prosperous socialist country, weathering out the tempest of the revolution under the leadership of the great leader and party. It clarifies the idea that even a small and backward country can be a developed one of authority if it has a great leader and party.

It also clarifies the tasks and ways to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche under the uplifted banner of the Juche idea and Songun.
