Put on the stage were poem-story telling and chorus "O Korea, I Will Add Glory to Thee," kayagum ensemble "World Knows No Such Man as the Leader," female chorus "Memory of the Native Home," male chorus "A Thriving Nation Is in Sight," a witty talk "Our Morality," poem and chorus "Push Back the Frontiers of Science" and other colorful numbers of diverse genres.

The performers enthusiastically sang of the great pride and happiness of studying as they wish with no more to desire in the world under the profound loving care of Kim Jong Il and fully demonstrated their firm faith and will to accomplish generation after generation the revolutionary cause of Juche started in Mt. Paektu, always remaining true to the leadership of the Party.

He expressed great satisfaction over the splendid performance replete with the revolutionary soldier spirit the students staged with numbers of high cognitional and educational value truthfully reflecting their life by earnestly learning from the soldier culture created in the era of Songun. He highly appreciated the success made in the performance and extended thanks to them on behalf of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Noting that the revolutionary and militant students in the DPRK are the true young vanguard who steadfastly take the road of intense loyalty, single-mindedly remaining faithful to the WPK despite any difficulties and trials, he said with pride that the WPK is proud of having such trustworthy younger generation.

He highly estimated the successes made by the universities in the past, pointing out that the WPK is satisfied with the fact that the universities have made energetic endeavors to thoroughly implement the "Theses on Socialist Education" authored by President Kim Il Sung, training a lot of able native cadres and technical personnel who play key roles in the revolution and construction and making a positive contribution to the cause of building a thriving nation.

He set forth important tasks which would serve as guidelines for the education and upbringing at the universities, noting that it is a fundamental issue related to the destiny of the Korean revolution in the future to fully prepare the rising generation who will shoulder upon themselves the future of Korea as able talents and pillars of the country equipped with knowledge, good moral character and good health.

Among the audience were Secretary Choe Thae Bok and Department Director Kim Kyong Hui and First Vice Department Directors Ju Kyu Chang, Ri Je Gang and Ri Jae Il of the Central Committee of the WPK, and other leading officials of the C.C., the WPK. -0-
