Present there were Kim Yong Jin, minister of Education and chairman of the committee, Mun Jae Chol, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and members of the Korean Committee for Solidarity with Cuba.

Jose Manuel Galego Montano, Cuban ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy were on hand.

The meeting reviewed the work done by the committee last year to boost friendship and solidarity with the Cuban people and discussed the action program for this year.
