South Pomminryon Protests Police Suppression
Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon) made public a statement on Feb. 24, slashing at the fascist police authorities' crackdown on the organization.

The statement disclosed that the Pusan District Police Station searched the Internet homepage of the organization and confiscated its data on the same day.

Such repressive action was taken after the police failed to crack down upon Chairman Ri Kyu Jae and two members of the South Headquarters of Pomminryon on charges of violation of the "National Security Law" as regards the meeting held in Pusan on Nov. 29 last year to mark the 19th anniversary of the organization, it pointed out.

It condemned this reckless behavior as a violent deed against reunification, democracy and human rights and as a downright gangster-like action.

The persistent repression under the pretext of public security will only invite a more vigorous anti-"government" struggle, the statement warned, calling on the people from all walks of life to come out in the struggle to overthrow the dictatorial regime at an early date and realize reunification.
