The statement recalled that since its formation the organization has waged a dynamic movement for independence, democracy and reunification while strengthening the solidarity among compatriots in the south and the north and abroad.

It said the organization would intensify the actions for the reunification and prosperity of the nation this year that marks the 10th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration, the 30th anniversary of the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo and the 20th anniversary of the formation of Pomminryon.

The statement stressed that the organization would arouse the people of various circles to the reunification movement under the uplifted banner of "By our nation itself" and, at the same time, boost the solidarity and alliance with all progressive forces in an effort to intensify the actions for implementing the south-north joint declaration.
